LIST aims to provide a truly rounded education and to that end we offer a rich variety of activities for students in Years 1 to 13. These enrichment activities provide students with the opportunity to interact with teachers and students from other year groups in the school, and contribute to building a strong Lanna community. They also enable students to try out new things and develop new skills and interests. Activities currently on offer include academic assistance, various sports, arts and crafts, board games, cooking, film club, music, student newspaper, karate, SAT preparation, Model United Nations, language and culture classes, and a yearbook group.
Primary Activity Programme
Activities for Primary students take place three times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) from 2.35 to 3.15pm. A wide variety of activities are offered to meet the needs of our varied student body. Students select new activities four times each year, meaning that students have lots of opportunities to try out a wide variety of activities during their time in Primary School. Activities on offer include a range of sports, arts, crafts, music, games, language, and academic activities. The activities offered change each half semester to keep it interesting for the students.

Secondary activities take place once per week on Wednesdays from 2.35 to 3.15pm. The scheduled activities change four times each year, meaning that students get lots of opportunities to try out a wide variety of activities during their time at LIST. Students have the option to change activities each quarter or, of course, continue with an activity that they wish to take further. On occasion some students may be directed to specific academic assistance activities, if it is felt that they are in need of the additional help at this time. This is done through discussion with the students concerned.
We are very pleased to announce that Karate has been added as an activity option in response to many student requests for some form of martial arts. We now have a highly qualified instructor coming into school each week to provide instruction in the art of Karate. If you are interested in reading about Karate etiquette click here.
