LIST’s Student Council provides leadership opportunities and gives students real responsibility for making things happen within the school. Participation in the Student Council is open to all students from Year 4 to Year 13 and is made up of a representative from each year. The Primary Student Council is comprised of students from Year 4 to 6 and the Secondary Student Council from Years 7 to 13.
The goal of every student council is to work with the staff and administrators of the school to provide fun activities and events for the students. Lanna’s student council focuses on the main goal but rather more besides. We look for ways the student body can be involved to help our community, like fund-raising for the people in need, locally and internationally.
We try our best to make our activities and events as sustainable as possible, which is part of our Expected School-wide Learning Results (ESLRs). We are very much open for ideas and criticisms from the student body because at the end of the day our role is to make the student life more interesting. In closing we would like to mention the vision of the Lanna Student Council, which is to provide for students and the community we live in, creating a relationship between us and our community. Both the Primary and Secondary Student Councils help make students’ school life more interesting and enjoyable by providing them with various activities and events.
Any suggestions that the student body have are always welcomed. Please pass ideas on to your Year Group representative.
