| Friday Lunchtime Chess Club | ||

Lanna Chess Club meets every Friday lunchtime in the library. We play for fun, but also aim to improve player's strategies, looking at openings, mid and endgames. A Chess Ladder is in operation. Can you beat the people above you and reach the top? Hopefully will take part in an inter-school one day Chess tournament later this school year. Get your Chess fix, come along and join us - all are welcome, whatever your level. |

| In 2008 Lanna students, along with Mr Phillip, took part in the CMAC Chess Tournament at CDSC. We entered only six students but came a respectable third out of the six schools that entered (a total of eighty students took part in the tournament). Yu-Hsin performed very well to take second overall. Well done!
