On the 22 nd of March, Year 13’s Travel and Tourism class consisting of Anya, Apple, Koogkig, Malie, Nathalie, Danny, Teddy and Bunny organized a trip to Doi Inthanon as part of their practical coursework. There were a total of 15 teachers who volunteered to come along as tourist "Guinea Pigs".
The first stop was at the Buffalo Market in Sanpathong, which everyone enjoyed; many of the "tourists" had never seen such a local market before. It had been decided to go to this market because Mr. Roy suggested that it would be a very interesting place to go to. Then, we went up to the King and Queen’s Stupas which have many flowers from temperate climates and thus you don’t normally get to see in Chiang Mai. At 13:00, we went back down to have a buffet lunch, after that we stopped at one of the hill tribe (Karen) markets along the way. Then, we proceeded to the summit of Doi Inthanon and to the Ang Ka trail. Our last stop was at Vatchirathan waterfall. We were able to make it back to school according to schedule. We want to thank all the teachers who volunteered to go along and also all of the administrators who helped us. We all had a wonderful time….
