Our World Maths Day 2008 actually took place over 2 full days at Lanna International School - the times during which it was March 5th somewhere in the world!

Our students played Math games online against students from all over the world. They were captivated by the fact that they were playing in real-time with other children across the globe. The questions were appropriately levelled for different ages and abilities. Students could also make an avatar, which was really fun for them. This year more than a million students from over 150 countries took part in the event. It was a truly unique experience and a fantastic opportunity to promote numeracy within our school. Our students made significant improvements in their mental arithmetic skills and had a great deal of fun in the process. Students around the globe set a fantastic new World Record with 182,455,169 correct answers. Isn’t this huge number amazing?
