University & Careers programme equips students with the guidance, skills, and opportunities they need to navigate their future with confidence—whether pursuing top universities worldwide or embarking on their chosen career paths.
Our programme starts in Year 8 with onboarding to the Unifrog university and careers platform for psychometric testing and career exploration. In Years 9 – 10, each student will make a personalised Student Development Plan with our university, college & careers advisors, which includes academic courses, extracurricular planning and skills development, with a future plan in sight.
During Year 12 and Year 13, students meet with their advisor twice a week as part of a programme which prepares them for university, onward careers and life beyond school. This University & Careers programme includes university research and shortlisting, CV development, interview skills, personal statements, leadership skills and other tasks related to university applications.
Students meet in small tutorial groups to research college and university options as well as large year groups for formal presentations. There is a busy programme of guest speakers, university fairs, presentations and workshop seminars. Our advisors are also available to meet with families and students one-on-one by request.
At LANNA the final 2 years of study (Years 12 and 13, The British “Sixth Form”), are packed full of important study programmes and activities that not only allow students to apply to a wide range of top universities around the world but also develop skills and qualities which enable them to become happy and successful young adults. Classes are small, attention is individual and guidance is personal for each student. Students are encouraged to develop a pathway that suits their interests:
A Levels are among the most challenging university entrance exams in the world. Three exam passes at Grade A-A* can gain access to the finest universities worldwide. Students choose between 3 – 4 A Level subjects from a menu of 17.
Students can choose from a wide range of A Level programmes, from traditional academic subjects to modern subjects such as Computer Science and Media Studies. Sixth Form students also have the option to pursue additional co-curricular classes in Modern Foreign Languages, Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, Academic English, and Community Service.

Students graduate with a full American-style High School Transcript (including Grade Point Average, based on internal grades) and a WASC-accredited high school diploma, in addition to their British exam results.
The SAT is widely used for college/university admissions in the United States, Thailand, Japan, and others. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. Lanna school students can choose to follow our Academic English co-curricular programme, which helps to boost their English skills to perform well on these tests.

Students can pursue a variety of Community Service Learning projects. Each student aims to complete a minimum of 60 Hrs Community Service per year, although in some cases students have achieved much more than this.
Students design their own learning programmes under staff supervision, which includes identifying skills they wish to extend and learning aims they want to achieve. Once projects have been agreed it is the responsibility of students to carry them out. The project concludes with a formal presentation to the rest of the group.
