LANNA’s Arts programme nurtures creativity and self-expression, providing students with opportunities to explore and excel in visual arts, music and drama.
At Lanna, drama is a vibrant and growing part of school life, and we are proud of our strong reputation for the quality and creativity of our productions. From small-scale performances to large theatrical events, our students are encouraged to explore their talents, develop their skills, and share their work with the school community.
Our annual programme includes Talent @ Twilight—at least two exciting talent shows each year—alongside IGCSE monologues and short scenes, which form an important part of our coursework. These performances give students the chance to shine in front of a live audience, building confidence and stagecraft in the process.
Each year, our Arts Week celebrates the dramatic, musical, and creative arts with performances, workshops, and exhibitions, offering students a platform to showcase their work and collaborate across artistic disciplines.
In keeping with our British heritage, the Lanna teaching staff also come together every Christmas to perform a traditional pantomime—a festive highlight that never fails to entertain our students and bring the whole community together.

At Lanna, music is part of the heartbeat of our school community. From the earliest years, students are immersed in music appreciation and hands-on music-making, building a strong sense of tonality, technical skills, and a lifelong love of music. For those eager to take their passion further beyond specialist Music lessons, we offer the opportunity to learn an instrument and join an ensemble.
Our vibrant music scene includes student rock and pop bands, jazz groups, and acoustic ensembles, many of which represent Lanna at high-profile events across the greater Chiang Mai community. We are also the proud hosts of the LANNA Rock Gods festival, where we welcome international schools to share the stage for an unforgettable celebration of live rock, pop, and funk.
For our classical musicians, students are encouraged to join the Lanna School Orchestra, as part of our Performing Arts academy. The scope of the LANNA music programme continues to grow, and we continue to welcome all who are interested in joining, at all levels of their musical development!

LANNA students proudly showcased their creativity at the CMCIS Art Exhibition. Featuring exceptional artwork from students across 11 schools, this exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate young artists and connect with the wider creative community.
At LANNA, our Visual Arts programme encourages students to think creatively, experiment with different mediums, and develop their artistic skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. From painting and sculpture to digital design, students explore a wide range of artistic disciplines, allowing them to express their ideas and build confidence in their creative abilities.
Guided by passionate educators, students engage in hands-on projects and exhibitions. LANNA’s Visual Arts programme empowers students to see the world through a creative lens and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
