ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
On this day, Kym will be sharing her 30-plus years of knowledge and experience, around working to build strong learning foundations for young children entering school with skills and behaviours which do not match typical development levels.
It is well established that certain aspects of children’s development are crucial to their early learning and later success in life. Therefore, this day will focus on children who are at an earlier stage of social, emotional, linguistic, or physical development than their peers, and who are not yet demonstrating key learning characteristics in age-appropriate ways.
Kym will share theory and research, as well as plenty of practical strategies and examples to help delegates nurture children’s growth in these areas while supporting their early Mathematics and Literacy learning.
Schools attending this session will get discounted access for their families to a new online course ‘Connect, Play, Learn’ specifically created by Kym for parents/carers in international schools in East and South-East Asia. They will also have a chance to input into the content of this course.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Target audience: Anyone working with young children from 2-7 years old, but particularly those working with the 3–5 years age range. This session is also important for leaders who wish to develop their own knowledge and support their teams in this area.
