Lanna International School recruits from a variety of sources and actively seeks qualified teachers with international experience, as well as experienced teachers who wish to leave their home country to begin a career in international education.

We are seeking teachers who can help us to attain the highest educational standards whilst maintaining our friendly and caring atmosphere: something that all of us at Lanna value and cherish. You will join a supportive, energetic and enthusiastic team of teachers who are determined to make high achievement and enjoyment of school life a reality for all of our children.

Qualification Requirements:

Applicants for teaching roles must hold, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree and full valid teaching certification from their home country e.g. PGCE or B.Ed (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA only candidates will not be considered for employment). Please note that the degree must be directly related to the post that you are applying for. A strong preference is given to candidates who have shown a pattern of involvement in extra-curricular activities. Overseas teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

Student Safeguarding:

At Lanna, we are committed to student safeguarding. All applicants are required to provide accurate, detailed and verifiable information about their employment history, including any aspects of their past or profile that could affect our reputation or the well-being of our community. All successful candidates are also expected to understand and adhere to Lanna’s code of professional conduct (see links below).

Application Procedure for Teaching Positions:

Interested applicants should submit the following:

  1. A cover letter of not more than two pages
  2. A C.V./Resume of not more than two pages, that includes current telephone numbers and email addresses for three referees (one or more of the referees MUST be supplied by an assistant principal or principal/head of school)

Your C.V. and Cover Letter should be submitted to [email protected]

The Lanna international teacher package includes:

  • Bupa Thailand medical insurance coverage.
  • Free education for two of your children (“yours” by birth or legally adopted), and half fees thereafter.
  • Return flight to country of origin upon contract renewal. Provided every second year, from the end of the second year of service (or a cash bonus alternative).
  • Free lunch each day.
  • The school assists with relevant immigration, visa and Thai teacher license issues on your behalf, and pays the appropriate fees.
  • Regular opportunities for funded Professional Development, both in Thailand and beyond (it is very much encouraged).
  • Opportunities to contribute to the development of the school in a meaningful way through membership of committees and frequent consultation on important school issues. This is not a “top down” school; your opinions are considered, valued, and indeed expected.

Secondary Mathematics Teacher required for immediate start

We are in need of a fully qualified, experienced, and dedicated mathematics teacher to join our highly successful mathematics teaching team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach mathematics at a range of levels within the Secondary school, from Year 7 through to IGCSE, with A level being available in the future (syllabuses from Cambridge International Examinations).

In recent years our mathematics department has become one of the most successful in the school with a large uptake at A level, and with many students gaining A and A* grades at that level. The department are hard-working and dedicated, frequently providing mathematics help to students across the Secondary age range outside of regular scheduled maths class times. The successful candidate must also be hard-working and dedicated, and ideally be keen to join the team in providing additional support to students in need, and thereby encouraging mathematics success for all.

The school promotes high standards in all areas, not just academics. As such, you will be expected to take a full and active role in the life of the school; not only within your classroom and your own subject area. See the Co-curricular section of our website for details of some of the many school activities that take place, and that you would be expected to volunteer to be involved with in some ways.
