Lanna International School recruits qualified teachers with international experience, as well as experienced teachers who wish to leave their home country to begin a career in international education.

We are seeking teachers who can help us to attain the highest educational standards whilst maintaining our friendly and caring atmosphere: something that all of us at Lanna value and cherish. You will join a supportive, energetic and enthusiastic team of teachers who are determined to make high achievement and enjoyment of school life a reality for all of our children.

A few of our current teachers have shared their own perspectives of life in Chiang Mai and what it is like to teach at Lanna. Hopefully, they can give you some insight in to what it might mean to be part of the Lanna community. Click here to read what they have to say.

Qualification Requirements for Teaching:

Applicants for teaching roles must hold, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree and full valid teaching certification from their home country e.g. PGCE or B.Ed (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA only candidates will not be considered for employment). Please note that the degree must be directly related to the post that you are applying for. A strong preference is given to candidates who have shown a pattern of involvement in extra-curricular activities. Overseas teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

Student Safeguarding:

At Lanna, we are committed to student safeguarding. All applicants are required to provide accurate, detailed and verifiable information about their employment history, including any aspects of their past or profile that could affect our reputation or the well-being of our community. All successful candidates are also expected to understand and adhere to Lanna’s code of professional conduct (see links below).

Application Procedure for Teaching Positions:

Interested applicants should apply via our vacancies advertised on Schrole.

The LANNA Teacher Package includes:

  • Premium medical insurance coverage.
  • Free education for two of your children (“yours” by birth or legally adopted), and half fees thereafter.
  • Return flight to country of origin upon contract renewal. Provided annually, from the end of the second year of service (or a cash bonus alternative).
  • Free lunch each day.
  • The school assists with relevant immigration, visa and Thai teacher license issues on your behalf, and pays the appropriate fees.
  • Regular opportunities for funded Professional Development, both in Thailand and beyond (it is very much encouraged).
  • Opportunities to contribute to the development of the school in a meaningful way through membership of committees and frequent consultation on important school issues. This is not a “top down” school; your opinions are considered, valued, and indeed expected.
